Commercial Insurance Advisor

(Hunters who win targeted commercial accounts)

Role summary / purpose:
The Commercial Insurance Advisor is a front-line rainmaker. Your primary mission is to target, attract, and win new commercial clients who align with EIS’s niche specialties (e.g. contractors, service industries, higher-risk exposures). You are consultative, strategic, and relentless.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a sales / prospecting plan to bring in quality commercial accounts
  • Use your network, referrals, and strategic outreach to generate qualified leads
  • Perform discovery, educate prospective clients, design tailored coverage proposals
  • Negotiate terms, present to decision-makers, close the deal
  • Partner with internal underwriting, risk management, and internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding
  • Hit revenue / premium quotas and grow new business pipeline
  • Stay current on market developments, carrier products, and regulatory trend

Ideal candidate profile:

  • A self-motivated hunter with proven success in commercial lines sales
  • Strong consultative, listening, and persuasive communication skills
  • Comfortable in prospecting — cold outreach, networking, referral cultivation
  • Tenacious: you don’t give up easily and you manage through obstacles
  • Confident negotiating, with financial acumen and capacity to think in ROI terms
  • You believe in delivering value, not just closing deals

Compensation:

  • Range is $85,000.00 – $250,000.00
  • Salary would be dependent on the candidate’s experience.
  • Compensation includes a base salary, individual and team bonuses, and commission potential.
  • We provide PTO, paid holidays and a 401(K) match of pay.
  • All training and designations are paid for by the agency.

Experience Requirements:

We prefer you hold a current property and casualty license. The ideal candidate would have at least 5 years insurance experience with a documented track record.
